Tess Williams is a science fiction writer and academic who proposed a writing residency where she fictionally critiqued science and extrapolated from it into short and long narrative forms.
Williams experiments with multiple and partial perspectives, non-anthropocentric world views, post-human evolution and cyborg writing.
She received a part-time Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science Postgraduate Dean’s Award in 2003.
Following this initial residency, ArtsWA within the Department of Culture and the Arts funded a one year Creative Fellowship over 2004 and 2005.
